Balance Assessment and Rehabilitation

The Assessment and Rehabilitation of Balance and Vestibular Disorders.

Our focus lies on the development of assessment and management strategies for balance and vestibular disorders that impact individuals across all age groups and populations.
We aim to use current assessment measurements and develop innovative assessment tools and rehabilitation protocols for conditions such as vertigo, dizziness, and balance impairments that stem from peripheral or central vestibular dysfunctions. The group is particularly interested in exploring the physiological, psychological, and functional consequences of these disorders, with an emphasis on improving patient outcomes and enhancing quality of life.
Through interdisciplinary collaboration, we integrate the latest evidence-based practices in physical therapy, audiology, neurology, and related fields. Our research seeks to provide clinicians with cutting-edge methodologies for early detection and effective management of balance-related issues for different populations.
In addition, we are committed to translating our findings into practical clinical applications, fostering continuous professional development, and shaping policy changes in healthcare to address the growing need for comprehensive balance and vestibular care in a variety of settings.
